Day 2
Jaipur
After breakfast Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur.-the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja`s City Palace & the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 3
Jaipur - Mount Abu
After breakfast, drive to Mt. Abu, on arrival check into hotel after some refreshment visit the world famous Dilwara Jain Temple, Nakki Lake and Brahmin Kumari Ashram. Dilwara Temple are a group of remarkable Jain temples. Among the finest examples of these are two temples in which the art of carving marble has reached unsurpassed heights. The older of the temples is the `Vimal Vasahi`, built in 1031 and dedicated to the first tirthankar, Adinath. In the front of the temple stands the `House of Elephants`, with figures of elephants marching in procession to the temple entrance. The later built `Tejpal Temple` is dedicated to Neminath, the 22nd tirthankar, and was built in 1230 by the brothers Tejpal and Vastupal. The carving is so fine that, in places, the marble becomes almost transparent. Nakki Lake is virtually located in the heart of Mount Abu and is a big attraction with tourists. The lake takes its name from the legend that it was scooped out by a god, using only his nails, or nakh. While takeing a stroll along the lake, look for the strange rock formations. On the lake there is a dilapidated concrete boat-shaped snack bar. Stay overnight at Mount Abu.
Day 4
Mount Abu - Jodhpur
In the morning, drive to Jodhpur. On arrival, check into hotel. Spend the evening at leisure or visiting local markets. Stay overnight at Jodhpur.
Day 5
Jodhpur
Jodhpur, the stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan, was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Stay overnight at Jodhpur.
Day 6
Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (06hrs)
After breakfast sightseeing of Jodhpur, Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Later drive to Jaisalmer. Overnight at Jaisalmer
Day 7
Jaisalmer
In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Throbbing in the heart of the Thar, Jaisalmer today stands a city of gilded magic. The origins of Jaisalmer go back to the 12th century, when Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort at Ludarwa and laid the foundation of a new city. Visit the magnificent fort, the Patwon Ki Haveli (Mansion) and Salim singh Ki Haveli, with their carved balconies and brackets which are supreme examples of the art. In the evening, enjoy a camel ride to visit Sam Dunes. Stay overnight at Jaisalmer Desert Camp/Hotel.
Day 8
Jaisalmer - Udaipur
After buffet breakfast, you will be driven from Jaipur to Udaipur, en route visiting Ranakpur Jain Temples, an exceptionally beautiful excursion through the rugged, wooded hills of Rajasthan to the Jain Temples of Ranakpur in the Aravalli Valley, to see one of the best complexes of Jain religion which is particularly noted for the grandiose scale of its architecture and the highly decorated ceilings, walls and 1444 different pillars. The priests of the temples did all the temple designing and their generations are still continuing the work. After lunch en route, continue your journey to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur and check-in to the hotel.Udaipur grew in complete contrast to the harsh deserts of the rest of Rajasthan. As capital of the old Mewar State it was the only Rajput stronghold to uphold its Hindu allegiance in the face of Muslim invasion. From the late 16th century, peace brought about an era of renaissance in the arts and encouraged the building of beautiful palaces around the lake, culminating in the City Palace, one of the largest palace complexes in the world. The lake itself is a romantic setting surrounding the gleaming white Lake Palace and the Jag Mandir, a refuge of the rebel Mughal prince, Shah Jahan, soon to be the creator of the incomparable Taj Mahal. Overnight at Udaipur.
Day 9
Udaipur
In the morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Udaipur. The city is built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. Visit the City Palace museum, the Jagdish Temple, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queenâ?Ts resort for their friends), Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at Udaipur.
Day 10
Udaipur - Departure
After breakfast, check out at hotel. Drop to raiway station/ Airport
