Itinerary
On arrival at Srinagar International Airport, you are warmly welcomed and assisted to your private vehicle for a scenic drive through the heart of New Srinagar. Cross the historic Abdullah Bridge over the Jhelum River before checking in at your hotel. Later, explore the iconic Mughal Gardens including Shalimar, Nishat and Chashma Shahi, celebrated for their refined symmetry and royal legacy. Visit the hilltop Shankaracharya Temple for sweeping city views, followed by a serene shikara ride on Dal Lake, drifting past floating gardens and lakeside dwellings.
After breakfast, proceed towards the majestic mountain resort of Sonmarg, admired for its rolling meadows and glacial splendour. The journey unfolds through picturesque countryside, pine forests and clear mountain streams, passing Kangan and the trout farms of Mammar. Pause at Gagangir, a striking riverside enclave framed by snow-clad peaks. At Sonmarg, enjoy leisure time with an optional walk or pony ride to the Thajwas Glacier on direct payment basis. Return to Srinagar by evening for a relaxed overnight stay.
Post breakfast, depart for Gulmarg, fondly known as the Meadow of Flowers and revered for its alpine beauty. Drive through colourful villages and rice fields before ascending from Tangmarg to Gulmarg. The region boasts world-class ski slopes and the highest 18-hole golf course. Experience the Gondola cable car on direct payment basis, ascending towards the Apharwat range for spellbinding mountain vistas. By evening, return to Srinagar, carrying memories of pristine landscapes.
After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Pahalgam via Pampore, where expansive saffron fields lend colour to the valley. En route, pass the historic ruins of Avantipura and the lush village of Bijbehara, often called the breadbasket of Kashmir. Continue via Anantnag before reaching Pahalgam, a picturesque valley renowned for its pine forests, flowing streams and dramatic mountain scenery. Spend the rest of the day exploring the tranquil surroundings at leisure. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar and check in to a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. The afternoon is free for shopping or exploring local markets known for fine handicrafts, carpets and pashmina shawls. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed shikara ride across the calm waters, observing the unhurried rhythm of lake life as twilight descends. Overnight stay aboard the houseboat offers an authentic and memorable Kashmiri experience.
After an early breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey. Assistance is provided with luggage and departure formalities. If time permits, enjoy a brief final glimpse of the city before departure. Leave Kashmir enriched by its natural grace, cultural depth and timeless tranquillity.
